“My life has been a blessing in disguise. Despite my advancing years, I have yet to achieve great fame or fortune, but I have been richly rewarded. I was born into a very loving family. My parents were outstanding. They provided me with undeniable opportunity to grow into a healthy, happy adult. I was fortunate to attend fine schools with great teachers and had a copious collection of exceptional friends. After graduating from Syracuse University, I had a career in different business ranging from plumbing supplies to newspaper publishing. By far, my biggest blessing was meeting my soul mate, Karen, and being able to share a long, healthy life together.

I love artistic expression. A great book, movie or play is something to be enjoyed, sometimes cherished. I like to capture beauty with photography and have spent countless hours with a camera in front of me. I have been very lucky to actively have music as part of my life. I starting playing drums at a very early age in elementary school. I have been in school bands, orchestras and contemporary groups. I have played may types of music like Dixieland, Rock and Roll, Contemporary Jazz, Popular Standards, and Country. Despite the ephemeral nature of music, my memory is filled with unforgettable musical moments of excellence. Most of all, I had the good fortune of meeting and working with fantastic and talented musicians. I am please to say that the members of Room To Move fall into the category of blessings in disguise.”

  1. Hey Ken, was thinking about you and found this site. Good to see you’re still playing. Where are you living? Same place? Have fun. Bill Fischer
